Samantha Skey is Chief Executive Officer for SHE Media (formerly SheKnows Media), a lifestyle media company reaching 81 million women each month (comScore July, 2021). In addition to the company’s owned and operated brands: SheKnows, STYLECASTER, BlogHer, Soaps and HelloFlo, SHE Media operates the SHE Media Collective, a network of over 2,000 independent publishers. SHE Media was acquired by Penske Media Corporation in March, 2018.

Skey launched SHE Media’s social mission of advancing opportunity for women and girls when she joined the company in 2013. Through the SHE Media Collective (formerly SHE Media Partner Network) the company contributes over $25MM annually to independent publishers, helping women’s and minority-lead businesses to scale both their profits and their social impact.

Samantha began her career in digital media in 1995 with Interactive Imaginations, followed by management roles with CNET, Disney, Alloy Inc. and RecycleBank before joining SheKnows in 2013. Skey serves on the board of directors for The Ad Council, the World Surf League and Acast. She serves on the advisory boards of Digital Ascendant, SmartyPants Vitamin Company, Fyllo Compliance Cloud and The Bronx Academy of Letters. Skey holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Hamilton College where she now serves as chair for the Hamilton Career Network.
